Booking Policy
We thank you for showing interest in Ho/Co Studio and hope you enjoy your session! Below we have placed our booking policy to assure there is fairness for all students and to honor the time of our instructors.
One Time Classes
Please note that all bookings are final — no cancellations or refunds are allowed.

No exceptions are made for missed classes, no shows or personal conflicts.
​
The studio reserves the right to reschedule classes for instructor illness, low enrollment, or emergencies.
​
If you need to reschedule your class, we are happy to accommodate requests made at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled class time. Rescheduling requests made within 72 hours of your class will not be accepted.
​
Thank you for understanding and respecting our policy, which helps us manage materials, instructor time, and limited class spots.

The studio reserves the right to refuse service.
5 Week Courses
All 5-week course bookings are final: no cancellations or refunds.
​
If you can’t attend, you may receive a credit toward a future course only if requested via email a week before your first session.
​
Credits must be used within 3 months of the original course start date. Credit will be lost after this deadline.
​
All students are given one makeup session which must be completed before the following class for a $35 fee during Open Studio time. No additional makeup sessions are provided beyond the first one.

The Collaborative
All sessions must be rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
​
Sessions not rescheduled within this window will be forfeited, and the session credit will be marked as used. No exceptions.
Members may only use the studio during their scheduled open studio bookings. Drop-in or casual use outside of a confirmed booking isn’t permitted, as this ensures space and equipment are available for everyone who’s reserved time.

Terms + Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian) to make purchases or enroll in classes through our website.

3. Handmade Product Disclaimer
All of our items are handmade and may vary slightly in size, color, or finish. These variations are part of the unique nature of handmade goods and are not considered defects.

4. Orders & Payment
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
Prices are listed in US Currency and may be subject to change without notice.
We accept payments via Square.

5. Shipping & Delivery
We currently ship to the USA.
Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes applicable in their location.

6. Returns & Exchanges
Due to the handmade nature of our products:
Returns are only accepted for mugs, small vases, and bowls if the piece arrives back in its original condition.
Requests for returns or exchanges must be made within 7of delivery with photo proof.
We do not accept returns for personalized, custom items, or larger pieces.

7. Pottery Classes
Class fees must be paid in advance to secure your spot.
Check our cancellation policies for further information.
No refunds for no-shows or cancellations.
We are not responsible for lost or broken items made during class sessions.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our products or services, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. User Conduct
You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful to others or that interferes with the operation of the website.

10. Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website constitutes your acceptance of any changes.

11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Photography and Videography
By attending any in-person classes, workshops, or events hosted by Ho/Co Studio, you acknowledge and agree that we may take photographs and video recordings during the session for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes. These materials may be used on our website, social media platforms, newsletters, or other promotional materials without compensation to you.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing before the start of the class or event. We will make reasonable efforts to respect your request.

13. Breakage and Damage Policy
Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, we cannot guarantee the condition of pieces throughout the entire creation, drying, firing, or glazing process. Cracks, warping, glaze defects, and breakage can occur at any stage and are considered inherent risks of working with clay.
Ho/Co Studio is not responsible for any damage to pieces during the creation process, while drying, during kiln firing, or in post-firing handling. However, we strive to provide a positive experience and may, at our sole discretion, offer accommodations such as a replacement class or studio credit when possible.
